VIDECA EXPECTS TO CONTINUE GROWING IN 2022

Industrias VIDECA S.A. has closed the year 2021 with a turnover of 49.2 Million Euros; a 17% increase compared to the previous year.

This growth, which has exceeded our initial forecasts, is mainly due to the boost in Exports, which has increased 26% to €27.6 million, representing 56% of our turnover.

For 2022 we expect to continue growing, after a favorable mandarin season, and good expectations of our international markets.

The biggest concern is focused on the unprecedent and sharp production cost increases, especially costs for metal cans, caps, glass, energy, packaging materials and transport, which together with the prevalence of the Covid-19 pandemic, creates great uncertainty throughout the sector in view of summer fruits productions.

Despite this adverse situation, in 2022 Videca has planned to triple the investments of the previous year up to 1.2 Million Euros, especially in environmental improvements, energy efficiency  and sustainability.
