For one more year, Industrias Videca has renewed its adherence to the eSIAB Comprehensive Decalogue of the Agri-Food Industry, which acts as a voluntary commitment to continuous improvement in three dimensions: social, environmental and economic.
In 2020, we have improved the degree of compliance with the Decalogue, and we have placed ourselves 20% above the average score for the sector. Our commitment to comprehensive sustainability enables VIDECA to be present, since June 2018, in the list of agri-food industries adhering to the Sustainability Decalogue promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
This commitment involves a continuous process of self-evaluation on aspects that have to do with safety and health, participation and dialogue with the social agents, fair and equitable trade practices, or measures to ensure labor rights and legal and regulatory compliance.
In the environmental field, actions aimed at promoting environmental awareness, requiring suppliers to comply with good environmental practices, the use of recycled or reused materials in operations and processes, or specific energy saving and efficiency objectives.
Regarding the economic dimension, the commitment to prioritize local suppliers, the application of procedures and tools to ensure quality in purchases, the use of new technologies to improve efficiency, or the commitment to invest to obtain a positive effect in the community, among other aspects.
